UPCYCLING WORKSHOPS 1: FLOWERS

UPCYCLING WORKSHOPS 1: FLOWERS

To mark the beginning of a new year of creativity and collaboration, DYVÓLAB launched its first Upcycling Workshop of 2026 with a session inspired by the arrival of spring. Centered around the theme of renewal and growth, this workshop invited participants to transform discarded plastic materials into vibrant, handmade flowers.

Welcoming Spring Through Upcycling

Drawing inspiration from the colors and energy of the season, participants explored how plastic waste can be reimagined into delicate floral forms. Materials that are often overlooked or thrown away were carefully reshaped into decorative elements, symbolizing a fresh start and a more conscious approach to design.

From Discarded Materials to Blooming Creations

Through hands-on experimentation, attendees learned techniques for cutting, shaping, and assembling plastic into detailed flower forms. The process emphasized both craftsmanship and creativity, resulting in a collection of unique pieces that captured the spirit of spring in an unexpected way.

Community and Collaboration

This workshop was made even more special by the participation of students from “Fazli Greiçevci” school, who held one of the sessions, while another session was held with another group of enthusiastic participants with 18+ agegroup. The exchange of ideas, energy, and perspectives created a warm and engaging environment for everyone involved.

Creating Something Meaningful Together

One of the highlights of the workshop was the collective effort to produce two large bouquets made entirely from reused plastic. These collaborative pieces served as a visual reminder of what can be achieved when sustainability and creativity come together with a shared purpose.

New Year New Opportunities

This workshop was a celebration of creativity and imagination, showing that discarded materials can be transformed into objects of beauty and joy. It reminded everyone that sustainability doesn’t have to be ordinary, through collaboration and playful experimentation, even plastic waste can bloom into something inspiring and full of life.
