UPCYCLING WORKSHOPS 6: ORNAMENTS

In December 2025, DYVÓLAB concluded its Upcycling Workshop series with a festive and forward-looking session centered on the creative use of laser cutting technology. This final workshop of the year introduced participants to new ways of transforming materials into decorative and functional objects, with a special focus on designing and producing holiday ornaments.

Introduction to Laser Cutting in Upcycling

During the workshop, participants were guided through the basics of working with a laser machine, an innovative tool that allows for precise cutting and engraving on a variety of materials. The session explored how this technology can be integrated into upcycling practices, opening up new possibilities for reusing existing materials in creative and efficient ways.

From Materials to Festive Creations

Using repurposed resources, participants experimented with creating unique holiday ornaments. The combination of digital design and hands-on making enabled them to transform simple materials into detailed and personalized decorative pieces. The process highlighted not only the aesthetic potential of upcycled products but also the role of technology in enhancing craftsmanship.

A Creative and Festive Atmosphere

The workshop was marked by a warm and collaborative spirit, as participants exchanged ideas and embraced the seasonal theme. The festive setting encouraged experimentation and creativity, making the experience both educational and enjoyable for everyone involved.

Looking Ahead

As the final workshop of 2025, this session wrapped up the series on an inspiring note. It reflected DYVÓLAB’s ongoing commitment to innovation, sustainability, and community engagement. The enthusiasm generated throughout the workshop has set the stage for an exciting year ahead, with new concepts, tools, and opportunities to explore in future sessions.
