PAV GROUP

As part of the first edition of Open Lab Days 2025, the group PAV, composed of Pavarsi Mehmeti, Alma Mehmeti, and Valbona Qiku, initiated a project focused on the design and creation of filament for 3D printers through the upcycling of plastic bottles. The process they developed consisted of transforming plastic waste into a new, functional, and reusable material, directly contributing to waste reduction and the promotion of upcycling.

The produced filament was used to print detailed three-dimensional models of chemical molecules. These models served as practical and visual tools in the learning process, helping students to better understand the structure and properties of molecules in chemistry classes. Furthermore, this set of 3D molecules was donated to a public school, with the aim of facilitating and enriching both teaching and learning in this subject.

This project represented a clear example of the integration of technological innovation with environmental responsibility, promoting a sustainable and creative approach to education, as well as encouraging the use of technology to provide real solutions to challenges in schools.
