As part of the first edition of Open Lab Days 2025, a group consisting of Erzë Salihu and Driera Shala participated by presenting a very special project with a strong social focus.

In this initiative, Erza and Driera engaged in creating toys dedicated to children who are patients in the Pediatrics Department at QKUK. The toys were made with great dedication and care, using recyclable materials such as plastic bottles and caps. This process not only gave new life to used materials, but also conveyed an important message about environmental protection and the importance of recycling.

The goal of this project went beyond entertainment. The toys were designed to help children cope more easily with their stay in the hospital, offering moments of joy, comfort, and positive distraction. Through play and exploration, they also aimed to stimulate imagination and develop critical thinking in children, making their hospital experience easier and more pleasant.
